Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, the governor of Beni Suef, continued to hold the weekly meeting with the citizens of the governorate’s general office, in order to listen to their complaints and demands, and to follow up the executive position of a number of service projects, as well as discussing ways to provide support and assistance to the first categories with care.
This came in the presence of the heads of local units, ministries agents, and officials of the directorates and service facilities.
The meeting witnessed the discussion of a number of vital files, in the forefront of which is a complaint from one of the youths of the village of Barout of the Beni Suef Center regarding the delay in the completion of the sewage project that serves the villages of “Barout” and “Ahwah”, and the impact of this on the high level of groundwater and the environment and healthy people, as well as the problem of irregular garbage in the village.
In this context, the governor explained that the project witnessed some delays due to the failure of the works at the two lifting and treatment plants, but the executive position is witnessing a great improvement, noting that the implementation rate at the treatment plant with a texture reached 75%, and it is expected to be completed next September, in preparation for operating the entire project in January 2026 after completing the mechanical structures.
The governor also directed the local unit officials to quickly lift garbage and waste using the unit equipment and cars until the return of the operating NGOs after reconciling their conditions in accordance with the new system, while providing the necessary support to any serious association that wants to work in the field.
In response to other complaints, the Governor instructed the General Administration of Financial and Administrative Inspection to examine the complaint of one of the citizens from the eastern village of Qaftan in the Samasta Center, which included an infringement on the organization line and the continuation of construction despite the editing of an suspension record, confirming the preparation of a detailed report to determine the default aspects and take legal measures.
He also instructed to assign the I Ibrina Village Council to study the allocation of a suitable place for street vendors in the village of Hajar Bani Suleiman, in response to a complaint related to works that impede traffic, despite the absence of a fixed organizational violation.
In response to a complaint from one of the people of the city of Baba regarding occupations and closing a street using a wall of mud bricks, the governor stressed the importance of raising all occupations and encroachments from public roads and main streets, stressing the accountability of the negligent, whether from executives or violating citizens, and the violation has already been raised and the necessary legal measures were taken.
In the human framework, the governor decided to pay an urgent aid to a family that lost its family, and to assign the Directorate of Social Solidarity to take measures to disburse a “solidarity and dignity” pension for their children, in addition to exceptional assistance from solidarity, in support of the most needy groups.
