In an unprecedented artistic and scientific achievement, the Bahraini student, Jawaher Rashid Farhan, from the Al -Mahd School, became the first Bahraini artist whose work will reach space, after the victory of her distinguished drawing in the “Dakat” competition organized by the Saudi Space Agency, where her work was chosen within the winning works that will be launched to the space orbit.
This achievement came within the framework of cooperation between the Bahrain Space Agency and the Saudi Space Agency, where His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Al -Asiri, the agency’s chief executive, previously received the student Jawaher in the presence of her parents and a number of employees of the agency, praising her creative distinction and technical capabilities that she qualified to represent the Kingdom in this prestigious regional competition.
Dr. Al -Asiri praised the importance of the participation of Bahraini students in such competitions, which enhance innovation and develop skills in the fields of space science and future technologies, stressing the agency’s keenness to support the talented people from young people and youth and enable them to contribute to raising the name of Bahrain in international forums.
His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Al -Asiri expressed his thanks to the Ministry of Education for its effective cooperation in introducing the competition and encouraging students to participate in it, which contributed to achieving this precedent at the national level.
It is noteworthy that the “Dakk” competition aims to stimulate creativity in the fields of space, arts and science, in which a number of students of the Kingdom participated, as many of them qualified for the final stages, so that the victory of the jewels of Farhan will be a new addition to the Bahraini achievement record in international scientific and technical forums.
