“Bahrain Islamic” organizes the “Drawing of Our Environment” initiative

In conjunction with the occasion of the International Environment Day, which falls on the fifth of June of each year, the “Jude” team organized the volunteer work in the Bahrain Islamic Bank (BISB), and in cooperation with the Dawn Syndrome Care Center of the Bahraini Association of Down Syndrome, an initiative to “draw our environment”, a technical competition in which about 20 children from Down syndrome participated, through which they expressed their vision of the environment and the importance of preserving them, users of colors. And feather as a means of expression and creativity.

The initiative was recently held at the headquarters of the Dawn Syndrome Care Center of the Bahraini Association of Down Syndrome in the Adliya region, in an atmosphere full of joy and human interaction, and in the presence of members of the “Joud” team for the bank’s volunteer work, in addition to a number of employees of the Islamic Bank of Bahrain who volunteered to support and encourage children during the competition.

The initiative came to highlight the capabilities of this creative group of society, and to enhance the concepts of totalitarianism and environmental awareness, as well as integrate them into purposeful community activities.

On this occasion, Amir Abdel -Ghani Diri, CEO of Financial and Strategic Affairs at Bahrain Islamic Bank, said: “We are pleased to organize this initiative in cooperation with the Dawn Syndrome Care Center of the Bahraini Association of Down Syndrome, which confirms our approach to sustainability, whether through the separate initiatives that we organize, or through the main sustainability pillars that we believe in, and translate it into our programs And our initiatives in the areas of sustainability, environment and governance.

The ‘to draw our environment’ initiative comes to embody our vision in raising environmental awareness in society and enabling future generations of effective participation in shaping a more sustainable future, while enhancing innovation and environmental awareness among children with Down syndrome, with the aim of confirming our role as an institution with a message that supports social inclusion and environmental responsibility.

For her part, Sarah Al -Emadi, head of marketing and institutional communication at the Islamic Bank of Bahrain, said: “This initiative reflects the bank’s continuous commitment to supporting societal initiatives with a positive impact, especially those that involve all groups of society in achieving the sustainable development goals.

The initiative included inspiring moments to confirm that creativity and comprehensiveness are able to deliver purposeful messages and achieve change. The participation of our employees was not limited to volunteering only, but also exceeded this to contribute to providing a humanitarian and environmental message calling for creating a more aware and solid future.

The “Jude” team remains a real mirror of our values ​​that are established in giving to society.

It is worth noting that the initiative of the “Jude” team for volunteerism is one of the pillars of the social responsibility strategy in the Islamic Bank of Bahrain, as it provides a sustainable platform that enables employees to contribute effectively to community initiatives, and reflects the bank’s commitment to its national and humanitarian role.
