In the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister, and in the framework of the official visit of His Highness to the United Kingdom, the Defense Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, where it was signed by the Bahraini side by the Minister of Defense Affairs, Lieutenant General Abdullah Al -Nuaimi, and from the British side by the United Kingdom Minister John Heili.
The Minister of Defense Affairs stressed that the signing of the Defense Cooperation Agreement between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom comes from the strong Bahraini -British relations, which is based on a distinguished strategic partnership that is always witnessing progress and continuous development at all levels, pointing out that the United Kingdom is considered one of the most important strategic allies of the Kingdom of Bahrain, due to the characteristics of partnership and acceleration paths in light of the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Issa Khalifa, the king of the country, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister.
The Minister of Defense Affairs pointed out that the signing of the Defense Cooperation Agreement between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom will contribute to strengthening the levels of military and defense cooperation, joint commitment to preserving regional security and peace, and the level of coordination and joint training between the two friendly countries, as well as strengthening the maritime partnership in the military and defense field.
He stressed that the United Kingdom’s accession to the comprehensive agreement of security integration and prosperity, based on the call received by the United Kingdom from the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America to join the agreement, will contribute to pushing work paths and joint coordination towards more extensive horizons, in a way that is good and growing for the two friendly countries and peoples.
