The Saudi national team advanced with the goal of Abdul Rahman Al -Aboud after 19 minutes of the match in Jeddah, then the guests realized a draw with the goal of Connor Metcalf in the 42nd minute, and Mitchell Duke added the second goal in the 48th minute.
The Australian team raised its score to 19 points in second place, to qualify directly with the leaders of Japan.
As for the Saudi national team, its score was frozen at 13 points in third place, after receiving its third loss in the third round of the qualifiers.
Al -Akhdar will go to the stage of the supplement that includes the third and fourth places in the three groups, accompanied by the teams of Indonesia, the Emirates, Qatar, Iraq and the Sultanate of Oman.
The Australian World Cup ascended for the seventh time in its history and sixth in a row, after previous participation in the World Cup in Germany 1974, Germany 2006, South Africa 2010, Brazil 2014, Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022.
Australia has also become the 11th national team, which was confirmed reaching the World Cup 2026 finals, accompanied by Iran, Uzbekistan, Japan, Jordan and South Korea from Asia, the defending champions Argentina from South America, and New Zealand from Oceania, and the three organizing championships of the United States, Canada and Mexico.
