Artificial satellite images, analyzed by the Associated Press, showed that the mountains at the underground nuclear site were damaged by the American strikes.
US President Donald Trump announced that the American strikes “completely and completely destroyed” 3 nuclear facilities, “Fordo”, “Isfahan” and “Natanz”.
A large Iranian source had told Reuters news agency that the number of workers at the Fordo site had been reduced to the minimum.
The Iranian authorities announced that “no signs of pollution were recorded” after the strikes, and that “there is no danger to the population who lives around the sites” in central Iran.
Trump confirmed that the nuclear enrichment facilities in Tehran were “completely destroyed”, after a series of unprecedented American strikes, today, Sunday, by Tehran, in order to exceed the “red line” by Washington and its ally Israel, which continues to target Iran’s lands since the war between them ten days ago.
Days after mystery about the possibility of interfering alongside Israel in the war it started on June 13, the United States launched strikes on the main installations of uranium enrichment in Iran, which are Natanz, Forddo and Isfahan.
It was not yet clear the extent of the damage to these facilities, and whether the strikes resulted in injuries. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard vowed to make the United States “regret”, in response to the attacks.
In a statement from the White House, Trump stressed that the strikes launched by his country destroyed the main nuclear enrichment facilities in Iran “completely and completely”, saying that “Iran’s bullying in the Middle East must make peace now”, otherwise “the future attacks will be much larger and easier.”
