Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, met today, Mukhtar Diop, CEO of the International Finance Corporation and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Dr. Rania Al -Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, on the sidelines of the Development Finance Conference to empower the private sector .. economic growth and employment, which is held in the new administrative capital.

The Prime Minister started the meeting, expressing his appreciation for the strategic partnership that brings together the Egyptian government and the International Finance Corporation, especially in the file of government proposals, which the Foundation works as a strategic consultant for the government, praising the role that the Foundation plays in the areas of cooperation with the Egyptian state during the past years, and affirming the keenness to continue this cooperation during the coming period.

In this context, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly praised the fruitful cooperation with the Foundation in the launch of a number of Egyptian airports for management and employment in front of a group of international companies specialized in this field, pointing out in this regard for the successful experiences of the International Finance Corporation at the global level in the file of airport offering to management and operation in front of the private sector, expressing his aspiration for the speedy announcement of the plan to launch Egyptian airports as soon as possible; So that the offering process can be started, and then choose the companies that will do this task.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed that it is planned to announce the launch of the first Egyptian airports for administration and operation before the end of this year, describing that it will be a very important event, especially since for the first time the Egyptian airports will be managed and operated by specialized and successful companies in this field, and it has a long history in this regard.

In turn, Mukhtar Diop thanked the Prime Minister for his continuous support for the success of the Foundation’s work in various joint work files, and also thanked the Minister of Planning and Economic Development for its permanent support for the International Finance Foundation team in Egypt.
In the context of his speech, the CEO of the International Finance Corporation indicated that the strategy of offering airports for management and operation will soon be announced, after which the awarding procedures begin to choose one of the specialized companies from the private sector to manage and operate Hurghada Airport.

Mukhtar Diop also expressed his aspiration to enhance cooperation with the Egyptian government in many joint work files, including the tourism sector in its various fields, including the tourism: therapeutic, beach, cultural, medical, and other types of tourism.

While the Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation confirmed that Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, is pursuing the activities of the activities and files of the International Finance Corporation in Egypt.

Dr. Rania Al -Mashat expressed her appreciation for the professional work that the Foundation team is undertaking in Egypt, praising the existing cooperation and partnership between the two parties, especially in the field of offering airports management and operation, and indicating that the next stage will witness a large scale coordination with the Foundation team; To prepare a plan to promote – locally and globally – for the strategy of offering and management of airports in cooperation with the private sector, noting that during which it will focus on successful models and experiences globally to manage and operate airports in partnership with the private sector.
