According to US media reports, today, Saturday, the United States has started transporting super-fortified grenades of GBU-57, capable of destroying the very fortified Iranian Fordo Fordo facility, to its military bases in the Middle East.
The Fox News network quoted a White House official as confirming the confidence of the US Air Force in the effectiveness of these bombs in penetrating the facility under a mountain at a depth of up to 90 meters south of Tehran.
The official pointed out that “all the options are offered” to deal with the Iranian nuclear program.
These developments come amid a military escalation between Israel and Iran, as Tel Aviv is seeking direct American support to target Fordo, which is a vital center for uranium enrichment.
The Hebrew newspaper “Haaretz” reported that the American B-2 bombers, who are able to carry these bombs, took off from the Wittman base in Missouri heading towards the Pacific Ocean, referring to possible military moves.
