The United States has made its accent towards Iran in light of the stalemate that is giving up on the nuclear talks, as the US Central Command commander (Centcom), General Michael Corella, confirmed his country’s willingness to respond with “strongly” to prevent Tehran from having a nuclear weapon.

In the same context, US President Donald Trump considered that Iran has become “more aggressive” in its negotiations with the West.

Trump added that Iran is behaving completely differently from what it was a few days ago, describing its actions as “disappointing and surprising.”

For his part, General Michael Corella, before the House of Representatives Armed Forces Committee, said today, Tuesday, that the leadership “prepared plans and options for Trump and the Minister of Defense in the event that an agreement was not reached with Iran.”

He added that resorting to a military solution with Iran is possible, noting that he provided President Donald Trump and Defense Minister Beit Higseth with wide options.

He also explained that Iran’s agents are in their weakest, but the greatest challenge is the Houthis.

He said that Iran continued to increase its inventory of enriched uranium by 60%, threatening catastrophic consequences.

The US Central Command commander stated that the United States stands before a strategic opportunity to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

More aggressive

While US officials confirmed to Fox News that Iran is delaying negotiations to continue its nuclear program.

It is noteworthy that a previous time on Tuesday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that a new round of talks with the United States is scheduled for Sunday.

However, US President Donald Trump announced yesterday that the negotiations would take place on Thursday.

However, a source close to the file indicated that the meeting will be held on Friday or Saturday.

5 rounds of Omani

The two countries have had 5 rounds negotiating with Omani, since April 12, in an effort to find an alternative to the international agreement concluded with Iran in 2015 to curb their nuclear program in exchange for reducing the sanctions imposed on it.

However, the negotiations stumbled at the issue of uranium enrichment, while Tehran insisted that it has the right to enrich uranium under the Treaty of Reducing Nuclear Weapons, the US President’s administration considered Iran’s enrichment of uranium “a red line.”
