The head of the Bahraini Journalists Association and the head of the editorial board of the newspaper, “Al -Ayyam”, Issa Al -Shayji, expressed his pride in winning the “Personality of the Year Personality Award”, stressing that this honor reflects the great appreciation that the profession of journalism and media in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in light of the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the brother of the country.
He stressed that this award represents a source of pride and special pride, as it is presented by the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, which gives it a great national and moral dimension to all workers in the press field.
He explained that the national media project is proceeding with a steady pace, according to a civilized vision that His Majesty wanted, praising the fruitful cooperation between the Journalists Association and government agencies in responding to the observations and recommendations that the association raises in a way that serves the development of the media sector, indicating that the rapid developments in the media scene imposed on journalists to adapt to the requirements of the digital era, indicating that the Journalists Association is working to establish specialized training courses to raise the efficiency Strip workers and enhance their technological skills.
Al -Shaiji stated that there is a great response by young journalists to attend these training programs, whether in terms of actual presence or practical application, which reflects a growing awareness of the importance of keeping pace with digital transformations in the journalistic work.
He stressed that the Bahraini press, despite the change of means and tools, is still launched from an ancient professional legacy and an honorable national march, and that the future holds many opportunities for the Bahraini press in light of the supportive environment and conscious leadership.
