Al -Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate, in cooperation with Al -Kalim Al -Taiba Association, organized an awareness lecture on rumors and its impact on community security, with the aim of enhancing societal awareness of the risks of circulating of false information and the need to verify the validity of the information and get it from reliable sources.
The lecture was given by Assistant Lieutenant / Maryam Muhaiza, Assistant Lieutenant / Mahmoud Safar, and under the supervision of Captain Saleh Al -Marri, the Community Service Police Division, in the Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate.
During the lecture, the negative effects of circulating rumors and false news were emphasized on individuals and society and the importance of the individual’s role in preserving community security, by refraining from circulating misleading news and ensuring the reliable sources of the relevant authorities.
