Ambassador Khaled Youssef Al -Jalahmah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, met with His Excellency Mr. Mamadou Soo, Head of the Regional Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross to the Cooperation Council countries for the Arab Gulf States, on the sidelines of the meeting of the fifty -first session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which was held in Istanbul in the Turkish Republic on June 21 and 22 June 2025.
During the meeting, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs praised the efforts made by the International Committee of the Red Cross in providing humanitarian assistance in the conflict areas, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to enhance cooperation and partnership with the committee in areas of common concern.
For his part, His Excellency Mr. Mamadou Sou expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain for its continuous support and cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross, praising the Kingdom’s efforts in supporting regional and international humanitarian work.
During the meeting, a number of issues were reviewed in common concern and discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Hatem Abdel Hamid Hatem, Head of Organizations Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
