Representative Abdul Nabi Salman Ahmed, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, praised the witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, a distinguished legislative renaissance and prominent development achievements, in light of the fruitful cooperation and constructive coordination between the legislative authority and its executive counterpart headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He pointed out that the parliamentary march in the Kingdom of Bahrain is moving at the rate of achieving the desired goals and development goals, and is witnessing improvement and development of legislation and laws, especially in the areas of encouraging responsible freedoms, enhancing the environment incubating the values of peace and coexistence, and in the access of honorable citizens to comprehensive care in all fields.
This came on the occasion of the International Day of Parliamentary Work, which falls on June 30 of each year, the day when the International Parliamentary Union was established, and was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly as acknowledging the role played by parliamentarians in implementing national plans and strategies.
He noted the important and active role played by the International Parliamentary Union and Parliamentary Diplomacy in the statement of positions and expressing opinion on various local, regional and international issues, which constitute a focus of common attention to all parliaments and countries, and introducing all achievement or development witnessed by the member states of the union.
