A wide Arab condemnation of the Israeli aggression against Iran

The Council of the League of Arab States, held in an extraordinary session at the ministerial level in Istanbul, condemned the Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing it as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of a member state of the United Nations and a direct threat to peace and regional security.

An invitation to stop the aggression and reduce tension

In its closing statement, the council stressed the need for the immediate endowment of this aggression, calling for the intensification of regional and international efforts to reduce the escalation and tension in the region, in preparation for a comprehensive ceasefire, and to achieve the required calm.

The Council also called for a return to the negotiating table to revive the diplomatic path on the Iranian nuclear file, confirming its support for all initiatives aimed at achieving regional stability.

Diplomacy as a substitute for military escalation

Arab ministers stressed that military solutions will not lead to the settlement of worsening crises in the region, stressing that the only way to resolve conflicts is dialogue and diplomacy, according to the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.

The occupation pushes the area to more tension

In the same context, the Council warned that the aggressive Israeli policies, especially the aggression on Gaza and the West Bank, pushes the region towards more tension and conflict, which requires an effective international move to stop these policies and return to the peaceful path.

An invitation to introduce aid to Gaza and stop illegal practices

The statement also stressed the necessity of immediate, safe and sustainable allowing the introduction of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, and the suspension of Israeli illegal measures in the West Bank that undermine the chances of applying the two -state solution and achieving a fair peace.
