Meta has announced the launch of an innovative feature of the WhatsApp application, which allows users to summarize long conversations and non -readable messages using artificial intelligence tools.
The new feature is a step that reflects the escalation of artificial intelligence technologies in daily applications.
The feature, which is optionally activated, depends on the “Meta Ai” technology previously announced by the company last April, and is used to summarize the long chat content that was not seen.
According to Techcrunch technology, this feature will be visible to the account holder only, without appearing for the rest of the conversation.
To ensure that user privacy is preserved, Meta explained in a post on its blog that the summary of messages is done through what it called “Special Treatment”, a technology that allows artificial intelligence to form responses or summaries without “dead” or “WhatsApp” actually on the content of the messages or summaries resulting from it.
The company also confirmed that the summaries remain protected, and no one else inside the conversation will not be able to know that you used this feature.
Although the feature does not work automatically, a small symbol appears inside the application indicating its availability of the user, which gives it the option to activate it or not.
Mita began to launch this new job first in the United States, with preliminary support for the English language, with the expansion of its availability to include more countries and languages during the coming period.
WhatsApp users had previously interacted with “Meta Ai” inside the conversations, by asking public questions or using certain signs to clarify the context of the automatic responses.
But despite this reaction, artificial intelligence tools were not able to read the content of the messages directly.
With the new update, it is possible for the application “WhatsApp”, according to Mita, to reach the context of the chat in particular, in order to implement requests through artificial intelligence, such as generating summaries of conversations or submitting suggestions for text responses.
The company pointed out that these new smart features are now available within a special setting that the user can reach through: settings, selecting chats and pressing special processing, where each function can be operated or stopped separately as desired.
