The Israeli occupation forces allowed a wedding ceremony for two settlers inside the courtyards of Al -Aqsa Mosque, in a move described as “provocative and degrading”, and represented a new chapter in the series of continuous Judaization of Jerusalem.

Al -Quds Governorate said, according to the Palestinian News Agency, that what happened today from converting the Al -Aqsa Mosque into something similar to a public celebration hall for the settlers constitutes a “flagrant violation of the sanctity of the mosque, a dangerous provocation to the feelings of Muslims, and a deliberate attempt to impose a new reality that blurred the Islamic identity of the place, and paves the way for dividing it in time and space.”
A systematic policy aimed at changing the features of the Al -Aqsa Mosque
Al -Quds Governorate considered that what is happening in Al -Aqsa comes in the context of a systematic policy aimed at changing its features, and imposing the sovereignty of the occupation by force, stressing that these repeated attacks contradict international law and UNESCO decisions, which are the Al -Aqsa Mosque as a pure Islamic heritage site.
The province called on the international community and the competent United Nations bodies, to immediately move to stop these escalating violations, and to provide international protection for Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem.
The Al -Aqsa Mosque is witnessing an unprecedented escalation in the pace of the daily settlers ’incursions, coinciding with strict restrictions on the entry of worshipers, which increases the state of congestion in the Holy City and threatens to detonate the situation.
And video clips circulated by activists on social media showed a group of settlers celebrating inside one of the mosque courtyards, amid strict protection from the occupation police, which prevented any Palestinian intervention to prevent violation.
