Russia is celebrating today, Thursday, its national day, corresponding to June 12 of each year, in a firm annual tradition that Moscow has become accustomed to, since the declaration of the Russian Federation after the disintegration of the Soviet Union.
Russia is celebrating this annual national tradition, during which President Vladimir Putin distributes state prizes to excelling in various fields, and the celebrations of Moscow and various Russian cities pervaded.
Russia celebrates today its national holiday
In the same context, the Russian consulate in Alexandria celebrated, yesterday evening, Wednesday, with its community residing in the governorate of the Russian National Day, in conjunction with the national celebrations in the capital, Moscow.
The celebration was chaired by the Consul General of Russia in Alexandria, Karen Vasilian, in the presence of representatives of the Russian embassy in Cairo, the General Consulate, the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Alexandria, and a number of consuls of Arab and foreign countries.
On the Egyptian side, Lieutenant -General Ahmed Khaled, Governor of Alexandria, also attended the number of executive leaders in the governorate, public figures and businessmen to participate in the Russian community.
Karen Vasilian, Russia’s Consul in Alexandria, confirmed during his speech at the ceremony the strength of relations between the two countries, noting that President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi participated in the Brexes summit held in Kazan in October 2024, in addition to attending the celebrations of the eighties of the Soviet Union’s victory in World War II this year.
