5 defendants were imprisoned for 15 days on charges of trying to smuggle 666 kg of hashish at a value of 72 million pounds

The investigation authorities in the Suez Governorate decided to imprison 5 accused for 15 days pending investigations, after accusing them of trying to smuggle 666 kilograms of hashish, estimated at 72 million pounds.

The security services and the anti -drug and unlicensed ammunition sector had monitored 5 accused of a neurotic formation between them, to bring and smuggle narcotic substances and distribute them to their customers.

A source told “Cairo 24” that the information was presented to the investigation authorities, which decided to arrest the accused, and the sector officers were able to arrest them in possession of narcotic drugs, which are quantities of hashish.

A source from the investigation authorities explained that the defendants were summoned from their prison to hear their statements regarding the seized quantities, noting that the investigation authorities decided to send a sample of the seized materials to the competent laboratories to analyze them and explain the quality of narcotic substances and imprison them for 15 days pending investigations.

The source pointed out that the decision of the investigation authorities included the reservation of the seized quantity, which weighs 666 kg, until the investigations ended and the defendants are referred to the Suez Criminal Court.
