A source for Cairo revealed 24 behind the surprising resignations that the Board of Directors of the Alexandria Club of the Alexandria Club in the past hours, which was represented in the resignation of Ahmed Abdel Majid, Vice President of the club, and Mahmoud Al -Qadi, member of the Board of Directors.

The source explained to Cairo 24 that the corridors of the Board of Directors of the Alexandria Club witnessed a dispute and a crisis in the past hours due to the financial hardship that the club is going through, and the presence of huge sums of money that the club must pay before the start of the new football season.
The source added that the players of the first football team of the Alexandria Club did not receive the salaries of the last 3 months from last season, and their contracts have not been disbursed from the new season, nor have not yet been provided the amounts necessary to conclude the new deals for the team, in addition to the presence of some debts on the club estimated at about 150 million pounds.
He pointed out that the total amounts required to be provided by the Alexandrian Federation administration for the football team during the current period reaches about 300 million pounds, at a time when the club suffers from a financial crisis and a state of administrative instability after the resignation of former club president Mohamed Moselhi.
The source added: The circumstances surrounding the Alexandrian Federation team at the present time raises the concerns of the nominated technical bodies to take over the leadership of the Al -Thaghr leader in the new season, and may make some coaches nominated to work with the team hesitant in accepting the task for fear of worsening the situation in the coming months, which negatively affects the performance and results of the team.
Al -Ittihad Alexandria Club issued an official statement yesterday, in which he announced the assignment of Mohamed Ahmed Salama, a member of the club’s board of directors, to the tasks of the club’s president, following the resignation of Ahmed Abdel Majid, the club’s vice president and acting president of the club since the resignation of Mohamed Moselhi.
