The local agent of the Zekr brand announced that he will take decisive measures to protect his customers against unauthorized imports of vehicles in Egypt.

During an official statement issued by the local agent of the brand, the agent noted that he would protect customers from the imports of the unauthorized gray market for Zekr cars in Egypt, saying: We have learned that some parties are marketing, distributing and selling Zekr cars without an official mandate, and this press statement aims to inform the public of the risks associated with the purchase of unauthorized vehicles, and the steps we take to ensure safety Customers and product compatibility.
The statement continued: Zeekr remains committed to providing a superior driving experience by ensuring that all cars purchased through their official distributor EIM meet the strict standards required for the Middle East and Africa environment.
He added: Unauthorized imports are not dedicated to the region and are not subject to the necessary summer heat tests, which are necessary to ensure the safety of the vehicle and its performance in light of the harsh conditions prevailing in Egypt.
For his part, Tyan Jingon, Vice President of the Zekr Group of Zeekr and the Director General of the Middle East and Africa region, said: Our priority is to protect our customers from buying cars that are not dedicated to this region, and Zeekr cars are subject to strict summer heat tests to ensure compatibility with the harsh environment in the Middle East and Africa, and the cars that are imported through unauthorized channels will not be able to meet these basic standards, which is, which It may harm safety and performance.

The local agent pointed out that any Zekr cars are purchased from unauthorized sources that are not approved for use in the Middle East and Africa, and may face the following risks:
- Gaps in software.
- Gaps in communication.
- Informed parts that differ from those used in cars designed for the region
On the other hand, he pointed out that a result of these gaps, the cars obtained from outside the approved channels will face the following:
- It will not be included in the guarantee of the manufacturer – including guaranteeing the car and the battery.
- You will not be eligible for service or technical support in the approved Zeekr distributor centers.
- You will not receive important programs updates, which are necessary to maintain safety and performance.
