The Zamalek Club Board of Directors sent an official letter to the Egyptian Football Association, during which it announces its complete rejection of the appointment of 4 referees to manage the Zamalek match against Pyramids in the Egypt Cup final.
Zamalek said, in an official statement, that the matter is related to Amin Omar, Mahmoud Al -Banna, Muhammad Al -Sabahi and Tariq Magdy.
The statement stressed that Zamalek “was clearly affected by the mistakes of these referees throughout the current season, and the club had previously complained about the repetition of these mistakes.”
The team stressed that “despite the club’s keenness to support the arbitration system and work to develop it continuously, the Zamalek club finds itself forced to demand that the cup final not be assigned to the referees mentioned their names because they did not provide the club for justice in the matches of the current season.”
Earlier, the team demanded that the fans attend full capacity in its match against Pyramids.
Zamalek and Pyramids will meet in the Egypt Cup final, next Thursday evening, on the ground of Cairo International Stadium.
