Al -Muharraq Municipal Council unanimously agreed, during its regular session yesterday, on a proposal submitted by a member of the Municipal Council, representative of the third district, Abdel Qader Mahmoud, and the judge investing the distinguished maritime site in the Al -Sayan area in Al -Bassitin, by allocating it to hold open sessions and temporary entertainment facilities overlooking the Gulf of Bahrain.
Abdel -Qader Mahmoud stressed that the proposal aims to support the local tourism and recreational sector in Muharraq Governorate, by investing a large area of 82.8 thousand square meters, which contributes to stimulating the tourism and economic movement in the region, especially in light of the clear shortage of entertainment and service facilities.
He explained that the site enjoys a marine view directly on the Gulf of Bahrain, which makes it one of the most prominent sites for light tourism investment, noting that the project will be based on the ground rental only, while allowing temporary projects such as tents, open sessions, restaurants, cafes, and mobile food carts (Food Track), without any permanent construction.
