According to media reports, quoting diplomatic sources, a high -level delegation from the Ministerial Committee emanating from the Arab Islamic Summit on the developments of the situation in the Gaza Strip intends to make a rare visit to the city of Ramallah next Sunday, where Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will meet in the framework of preparation efforts for an expected international conference to support the two -state solution and recognition of the State of Palestine.
The delegation includes foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and a number of other Arab and Islamic countries, in a prominent diplomatic step that reflects an escalating Arab coordination to support Palestinian rights in light of the continuous Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The upcoming visit comes after an expanded meeting held by the Ministerial Committee last Sunday in the Spanish capital, Madrid, with the Madrid group and a number of European countries.
The meeting discussed, according to a joint statement, the developments of the situation in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as the ongoing preparations for a high -level international conference at the United Nations headquarters in New York City during next June, at a joint invitation from Saudi Arabia and France.

The Arab foreign ministers stressed the need to implement a two -state solution based on international legitimacy decisions, in order to ensure the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital.
They also expressed their appreciation for the role of the Madrid group and European countries in supporting fair and permanent peace endeavors.
The statement stressed the importance of stopping the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, ending the siege imposed on the Strip and opening the crossings immediately without conditions, as well as ensuring the flow of humanitarian and medical aid.
The members of the committee also expressed their support for the Qatari, Egyptian and American efforts to mediate for calm and the exchange of prisoners, rereading their condemnation of Israeli violations against Palestinian civilians, and demanding to confront the occupation’s congruence against international law and humanitarian law.
