Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, made a phone call to Gideon Saar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, which led to the agreement to start the introduction of urgent humanitarian assistance from the UAE, aimed at meeting the food needs of about 15,000 civilians in the Gaza Strip as a first stage.
The initiative also includes providing the basic materials needed to operate bakeries in the sector, in addition to the necessary children’s supplies, while ensuring the continuity of providing these materials to meet the needs of civilians.
Abdullah bin Zayed stressed during the call the importance of the arrival of humanitarian, relief and medical aid to the brotherly Palestinian people in the Strip urgently, intense, safe and without any obstacle.
The two sides also discussed regional and international efforts to resume the armistice agreement, reach a ceasefire and release the hostages.
