The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning Fatima Ibrahim Al -Mannai participated in the work of the twenty -sixth meeting of senior officials concerned with housing affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was held today in the sisterly state of Kuwait.
During the meeting, a number of topics listed on the agenda were reviewed in preparation for submitting decisions to the meeting of Excellencies and Excellency the ministers concerned with housing affairs in the Gulf Cooperation GCC countries, most notably the joint Gulf housing plan during the period from 2024 to 2030.
The meeting also discussed the developments of joint housing information rules, the unified general rules of real estate owners in the Gulf Cooperation Council states, in addition to discussing the general secretariat proposal regarding the signing of agreements with specialized organizations that serve the housing field, the proposal to establish the fourth Gulf housing week, and hold conferences and specialized workshops in the field of housing.
On the other hand, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning with the agents of the ministries concerned with housing affairs participated in the seminar entitled “Financial solutions and real estate financing solutions”, which was held on the sidelines of the third Gulf housing week to be held in Kuwait during the period from 18-22 May 2025.
The immune agent said that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, since 2022, has adopted a new policy through which its financing programs, which currently number 6 types of financing options, have developed (real estate facilitation – facilitation of cooperation – and facilitation of the oud house), benefits, and the advantages of the created category, with the addition of financing to facilitate + that was launched last April and received wide acceptance From citizens.
She pointed out that the ministry has developed the principle of expansion in partnership with the private sector and enhancing innovative programs and initiatives at the top of its priorities with the aim of achieving the maximum possible benefit from government resources and private sector resources to provide social housing services to citizens.
She explained that the ministry, based on the principle of strengthening partnership with the private sector, launched a number of housing initiatives in partnership with the private sector to provide government -backed housing financing to citizens, and the launch of the projects of the government land development rights program, up to the new housing initiatives that were launched in conjunction with the opening of a conference and exhibition of innovation in the social housing sector last month.
She pointed out the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning that diversification of housing options gave the citizen the flexibility in choosing the appropriate path to obtain his housing service, whether by waiting for the readiness of the traditional track projects that the ministry is working to implement, or through the paths that provide housing immediately.
