After the visit of the Lebanese President, Joseph Aoun, to Abu Dhabi a few days ago, the UAE announced the lifting of the ban on travel to its citizens to Lebanon.
She also clarified in a statement today, Sunday, that this lifting “starts from the seventh of next May, in implementation of the directives of the President of the State Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, and within the framework of strengthening brotherly relations between the two countries,” according to the Emirates News Agency.

Within the framework of the same decision, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stipulated that its citizens wishing to travel to Lebanon registration in the service of “my presence” to ensure effective communication, whether traveling directly through the air outlets of the UAE, or from any other country in the world.
She also confirmed that the registration is compulsory, adding that individuals must inform the competent authorities upon their return through my service, as well.
It also banned its citizens who wish to travel to leave the state outlets before completing the registration so that they are not vulnerable to suspending the procedures for travel and legal accountability. They called them to fill all the required data, determine the residence in Lebanon, update data when changing it, and determining the emergency communication numbers and the reasons for the visit.
The step of lifting the embargo came after a working visit to the Lebanese President to the UAE, and his meeting with Emirati President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, where the two sides agreed to allow the travel of citizens after taking the necessary measures to facilitate the movement of movement between the two countries and setting the appropriate mechanisms that ensure this.
In 2019, the UAE imposed a ban on the travel of its citizens to Lebanon, and later renewed the invitation of its citizens to adhere to the ban.
