The Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Port Said Governorate launched an expanded control campaign on the port of Gemayel, which resulted in the seizure of two cars loaded with quantities of meat that is not suitable for human consumption, whose total weight reached 410 kg, in implementation of the directives of Major General Staff Harb Habashi, the governor of Port Said, by tightening control over ports and markets and facing ration violations from the source.

The campaign came under the supervision of Professor Mohamed Helmy, Director of the Supply Directorate, led by Ahmed Al -Arabi, Director of Oversight, and Mohamed Al -Saharawi, Head of Oversight, in cooperation with the Supply Investigation led by Brigadier Suhail Al -Jabali, and Captain Ahmed Tamer Zain Al -Abidin, and with the participation of the Veterinary Medicine Directorate headed by Dr. Amjad Yousry, Head of the Inspection Department of the massacres.
The campaign was able to seize the first car loaded with 10 frozen meat cartons, a single carton weighing 20 kg, with a total of 200 kg, without the presence of bills, customs release or certified slaughter certificates, and the seized amount was seized and a report of the incident was edited.
The second car, loaded with 2110 kg of meat, was also seized inside bags, slaughtered outside the official massacres and without a veterinary detection, which constitutes a serious danger to consumer health, where the seized amount was seized, a report of the incident was edited and the Public Prosecution office was notified of investigations.
