Dr. Mohamed Farid, Chairman of the General Authority for Financial Supervision, inaugurated the sixth edition of the Egyptian Insurance Companies Union, which was organized under the title “We are running together … we are the risk of insurance”, in the presence of Alaa Al -Zuhairi, President of the Egyptian Insurance Federation, Professor Mohamed Al -Sayyad, Vice -President of the Authority, Mohamed Ayyad, Director of the Media Center in the Authority and a number of leaders of the authority, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Egyptian Insurance Sector.

The meeting witnessed various activities, all of which send a message that emphasizes the extreme importance of exercising and its direct and indirect impact on public health and protecting citizens from the dangers of disease, which is the message that the Insurance Companies Union always works to achieve, under the supervision and supervision of the General Authority for financial control, where the marathon emphasizes the close link between exercise and public health efficiency and its impact on the capabilities and competencies of citizens in various positions in a way that contributes to designing policies that enhance The efficiency of the Egyptian economy and achieves comprehensive development.
The marathon included a football match between the old teams of Al -Ahly and Zamalek, with the participation of Dr. Mohamed Farid, head of the Financial Supervision Authority and Alaa Al -Zuhairi, head of the Insurance Companies Union.
Dr. Mohamed Farid, Chairman of the General Authority for Financial Supervision, confirmed during his speech to the attendees that the organizing of the marathon this year comes after a qualitative shift in the Egyptian insurance activity that all its employees feel, which is the issuance of the unified insurance law, which includes many important points that stimulate the insurance sector and allow property insurance companies to practice some other branches, as well as increasing the capital of companies.
Dr. Farid praised, with the participation of people with anxiety and those who are able, according to the marathon and the concern of the organizers from the Insurance Companies Union, that the marathon program includes special activities for them, which confirms the role of the biological insurance sector towards community development, and also explained that exercising has a basic role in preserving public health and hedging from the risks of infection from various diseases.
For his part, Alaa Al -Zuhairi thanked the General Authority for Financial Supervision and the Ministry of Youth and Sports for their support and participation in the activities organized by the Federation. He also thanked all the participants and the marathon sponsors.
Alaa Al -Zuhairi stressed that the marathon organization comes within the contributions of the union and the insurance sector under the auspices of the authority in social responsibility by raising awareness of the importance of running for health, spreading the concept of a clean environment, and participating in building a life system dependent on a healthy society, while practicing physical activities regularly helps to improve the lives of people and prevent infection with many chronic diseases.
Awareness lectures were also held from the Egyptian Society for Heart Diseases on the importance of sport in maintaining the health of the body and greatly preventing diseases, especially heart disease.
