A noticeable and qualitative development witnessed by the health system in the Kingdom of Bahrain, stresses the valuable and distinguished efforts made by the Bahrain team, through a strategic national plan, aimed at achieving the wise vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and under the guidance and follow -up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, may God protect him, in light of the efforts made by the Supreme Council Health headed by His Excellency the team, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and Minister of Health Dr. Jalila bint Al -Sayed Jawad Hassan.
This qualitative and remarkable development led to fruitful and constructive cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and international and international medical organizations and organizations, especially the United Nations and the World Health Organization, and this was confirmed by the Director General of the World Health Organization d. Tedros Adhanum Gebrisos, during his recent visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, where he expressed his appreciation for the rational leadership in the Kingdom by supporting and enhancing cooperation with the organization, stressing that these efforts contribute effectively to achieving common health goals, especially with the Kingdom’s keenness to enhance strategic partnerships with leading global health organizations and institutions, in a way that contributes to building qualified national cadres and raising the level of health services, to ensure the health and safety of citizens And residents and visitors alike.
From this standpoint, the Kingdom of Bahrain is moving forward in developing and modernizing health infrastructure, and perhaps the opening of the Muharraq Center for Private Health Care is the best evidence of this, especially since, according to official sources, the center aims to provide advanced medical and qualification services for patients who need special health care, such as cerebral palsy and various disabilities, in addition to cases that require long -term qualification and medical care, taking into account that it includes 5 medical wings Integrated, pharmacy, analysis laboratory, x -ray and specialized unit for patient rehabilitation that include physical and aqueous and professional therapy, and also contains 106 beds and equipped with all medical and administrative services.
In addition, what government hospitals accomplished during the year 2024, when the CEO of government hospitals, d. Maryam Al -Jalahmah, recently, during a tour with the editors of the local newspapers, for receiving more than 1.2 million visits during the year 2024, (i.e. with an average of 3287 visits per day), including more than 400 thousand visits to the emergency department of the Salmaniya Medical Complex, (i.e. with an average of 1095 visits per day), and more than 509 thousand visits to the outpatient clinics, (i.e. an average of 1394 visits per day), while the percentage of Bahrainis reached the reviewers. Government hospitals have 82% of the total visits, and they performed more than 20.4 million laboratory examinations (at a rate of 56 thousand per day), more than 316 thousand radiological examinations (at a rate of 866 exams per day), and 22944 surgeries (at a rate of 63 per day), and recorded 7670 births (at a rate of 21 births per day).
These numbers and statistics reveal the extent of the achievement that is achieved in order to develop the health field in the Kingdom of Bahrain in addition to interest in modernizing the medical care system for society, which is reflected positively on achieving the comprehensive development process in the Kingdom.
