His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, discussed today the strategic relations that bring together the UAE and the United States and joint work to enhance and expand its horizons in various fields in order to achieve their common interests, in addition to regional and international issues of common concern.
The Emirates News Agency (WAM) stated that this came during the reception of His Highness the President of the UAE today, the US President at the Watan Palace in Abu Dhabi, who is “a state visit” to the Emirates, where His Highness welcomed the American President, stressing the importance of the visit in advancing strategic cooperation relations between the two countries at all levels; He appreciated His Highness the positive orientations of the American President’s Excellency towards strengthening Emirati -American relations since he took office, which is based on a common vision of progress and prosperity.
The agency added that His Highness reviewed with President Donald Trump the prospects for cooperation and opportunities to expand its fields, especially investment, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, industries and other aspects that serve the two countries’ vision towards achieving a more prosperous future for all.
The two sides also discussed a number of regional and international issues of common concern that focused on developments taking place in the Middle East region, foremost of which is the efforts made to the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the containment of escalation in the region, which threatens its security and stability, stressing His Highness the importance of continuing these efforts and pushing them towards the political path to achieve a comprehensive, fair and permanent peace that is based on a “two -state solution”, which guarantees security and stability for all the peoples of the region.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the UAE and the United States of America are united by friendship and strategic alliances based on firm foundations of confidence, mutual respect and common interests in addition to its focus on a long history of cooperation in various political, economic, cultural and other fields.
His Highness the President of the UAE also stressed the UAE’s keenness to continue to enhance its cooperation with the United States of America in light of their joint visions on work for peace, stability and prosperity in the Middle East and the world and to build an active international position towards joint global challenges, based on the UAE’s steadfast approach to supporting stability, peace and development at the regional and global levels through the collective multilateral international work.
During the meeting, the two sides affirmed their keenness to continue strengthening strategic cooperation relations between the two countries in light of the attention that their leadership attaches to developing these relations in a way that achieves their common interests.
His Highness the President of the UAE said that the UAE and the United States are linked with a strong friendship for several decades during which the UAE was a reliable partner for the United States, stressing His Highness the UAE’s keenness to continue to strengthen this friendship and strengthen it for the benefit of the two countries and their people besides continuing to work together in everything that achieves peace and stability in the region and the world.
For his part, the American President, led by His Highness the President of the United Arab Emirates, praised, stressing that the relations between the UAE and the United States have reached the highest level and continue to achieve further development.
His Highness the President of the UAE and the American President also witnessed the announcement of the inauguration of a “AII Data Center with a capacity of 1 GB”, which is part of a joint artificial intelligence complex between the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America.
President Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, had arrived earlier today in Abu Dhabi on a “state visit” to the UAE.
