Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel -Sadiq, President of Cairo University, announced that the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine obtained the renewal of institutional accreditation and the program accreditation of the general program “Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine”, from the National Authority for the Quality of Education and Accreditation, within the framework of the university’s vision and strategy in the continuous development of the educational and research process.
Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel -Sadiq explained that the College of Veterinary Medicine obtains the renewal of institutional accreditation and programmatic accreditation, reflects its continuous efforts to develop its educational system in accordance with the finest international standards, and confirms its keenness to keep pace with educational systems and rapid and successive development in university education in the finest international universities, stressing the importance of upgrading study programs in university colleges, and creating new programs to provide students with knowledge and skills And encouraging them to learn the latest means, creating a spirit of creativity and excellence for them, and linking learning and scientific research gains to the needs of society.

D. Muhammad Sami Abdel -Sadiq is keen on the university administration to increase the spread of continuous awareness of quality standards and quality of education, and work to develop the capabilities of the faculty members and the assisting body, noting that the renewal of accreditation for the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is the product of an institutional team from the university and the college, the accreditation team, faculty members and workers in addition to providing the university administration for all the resources and capabilities necessary for the continuous development of elements of the educational and research process.
For her part, Dr. Iman Bakr, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine said: The college obtaining institutional institutional accreditation and program accreditation of the general program enhances its position as one of the most leading educational institutions in the field of veterinary medicine in Egypt and the region and produces scientifically and skillfully qualified cadres Curricula development, qualification of faculty members, and enhancing partnership with medical and veterinary sectors, stressing the college’s commitment to continue to raise the efficiency of graduates and support scientific research that serves the livestock sector and public health.
Dr. Iman Bakr added that the National Authority for the Quality of Education and Accreditation grants accreditation after a comprehensive assessment of educational institutions in accordance with strict criteria that include the quality of academic programs and their alignment with the needs of society, the efficiency of faculty and scientific research members, infrastructure, laboratory equipment, educational environment, community participation and environmental service.
It is worth noting that Cairo University has succeeded in making a qualitative shift in accreditation and quality and most of its colleges and institutes have obtained local accreditation or its renewal, as well as a number of colleges obtained international accreditation, and the university is also keen to improve the quality of administrative performance, and to create a positive environment that contributes to achieving the university’s vision to develop work and increase productivity according to the university’s strategic goals as a sustainable and innovative smart university.
