Mr. Dr. Jahan Al -Omran
In the world of politics and international relations, alliances between countries are a strategic tool through which countries seek to achieve common interests, whether economic, military, or political.
These alliances are based on the principle of cooperation and integration to achieve goals that are difficult to achieve individually, but at the same time they may involve hidden conflicts or competition between allied parties.
These dynamics do not differ much from the relationships within the family, as alliances can be formed between their members that lead to the achievement of temporary goals, but they may cause the breakdown of the family fabric in the long run, as these alliances appear when some family members are clumsy against a specific individual, whether due to the parents ’bias to a child or the alliance between one of the parents and one of his sons against the partner.
This is called in family counseling. It is one of the pathological indicators in family relations.
Like the alliances of states, these alliances may achieve short -term gains, but they often exacerbate family problems and the deterioration of family relations in the long run, as the family depends on its stability on love, understanding and explicit dialogue, so any defect in these basic values can threaten its entire entity, so it was called pathological alliances, i.e. the nuclear.
One of the most prominent examples of these alliances is the father’s alliance with one of the children against the mother, which leads to undermining her role as a family responsible and weakening her position inside the house. On the other hand, the mother may ally with one of the children against the father when a dispute occurs between the spouses; This causes this son or daughter to bear a greater role than their age; Which leads to a feeling of psychological pressure and failure in their marital relationships in the future; Because they learned a wrong lesson about it in their original family. In some cases, some children may ally together against one of the brothers as a result of jealousy; Because of the superiority of this brother or sister in an attribute, or because of the competition for something, or in order to win the consent of one of the parents who strengthened this conflict to preserve the site of control in the family; This creates an environment full of disintegration and conflicts between children.
These satisfactory family alliances have devastating effects on individuals and family, which leads to poor confidence between the two allied teams, and to live in a vortex of family conflicts in which each party is underestimated.
Thus, family conflicts are increasing, and health communication levels decrease between family members, which leads to poor family cohesion, loss of safety in the home, and severe divergence between family members.
To overcome this problem, parents must follow the methods of family upbringing together based on love and acceptance and non -discrimination in the treatment between children, and avoid showing bias for any of them against the rest of the children, rejecting alliances between them against each other, as well as respecting the status of both parents in the family. Also, encouraging open dialogue and solving family problems in a sound democratic manner can contribute to strengthening family ties.
But if this problem continues, it may be necessary to use a psychological specialist or a family counselor to provide support and assistance in order to restore the balance of relations within the family, and restore joy to the family climate before it is too late.
