The National University organizes the day of internal audit: an educational experience that brings together the theory

The Vocational Guidance Center at the National University organized a distinguished event entitled “The Day of Internal Audit”, which attracted a large number of students and academics, as well as a group of experts in the fields of audit and governance. This event comes within the university’s efforts to integrate academic education with vocational reality, and to provide students with the skills necessary to succeed in the labor market.

In his speech, the President of the University, Professor Mansour Al -Aali, stressed the importance of enhancing students’ awareness of promising professions, noting that internal audit has become a strategic tool to ensure transparency, corporate governance and risk management.

For its part, d. Karima Al -Musalli that the professional counseling program at the university has been working for two years to link students to professionals in various fields such as auditing and managing risk and human resources, with the aim of providing them with experiences that exceed the limits of the curriculum.

The event witnessed inspiring interventions, where Professor Ali Sharif, President of the Society of Internal Auditors, spoke about the necessity of professional certificates in this field, while Professor Fatima Al -Jahrami presented an interactive session using the Kahoot application, to help students distinguish between internal and external auditing tasks, and to understand the auditor’s contribution to improving institutional performance.

Students also had the opportunity to participate in a discussion session with a number of experts, in which they highlighted the importance of the balance between technical and personal skills, such as analytical thinking, teamwork, and positive position.

On the practical aspect of the event, students were divided into seven groups that had a challenge in a realistic case study related to scrutiny, as each group presented an analysis and solutions within ten minutes, in a direct simulation of actual professional experiences.

The event was attended by a number of professional leaders from major institutions such as “Benfa”, “Kalam”, and “Morengs for Accounting”, where they presented visions about the future of scrutiny in light of digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

The event concluded amid a wide interaction from the attendees, who praised an educational experience that combined interaction and professionalism, stressing that the “internal audit day” represented a qualitative step that reflects the vision of the National University in preparing its students in the world of profession with confidence and efficiency.
