The Grand Mufti of the Republic expressed his aspiration that this new leadership would contribute to enhancing the values of dialogue, tolerance and peaceful coexistence between the followers of different religions and cultures, in order to complete the generous march of Pope Francis in establishing bridges of understanding and human brotherhood.
The Honorable Mufti affirmed the Ifta House and the General Secretariat of the role and advisory bodies in the world to continue cooperation with the Vatican in the various initiatives and programs that are up to the values of civilized and human dialogue and reject extremism and hatred.
While, the Grand Imam congratulated Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, Sheikh of Al -Azhar Al -Sharif, Pope Liu XIV; On the occasion of his election as a door for the Catholic Church.
He wrote through his account on the social networking site Facebook: I am sincere congratulations to Pope Liu XIV; On the occasion of his election as a door for the Catholic Church, and we look forward to completing the work with his holiness to establish dialogue between religions and enhance the values of human brotherhood; In order to spread world peace and coexistence, and a better future for humanity.
Meanwhile, the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, Sheikh of Al -Azhar, called India and Pakistan to solve wisdom, prevail over the language of dialogue, and the most maximum level of restraint.
