The first team, Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information Technology and Communications, chaired today the committee meeting, in the presence of members of the Excellencies of the Foreign Ministers, Cabinet Affairs, Education, Industry and Trade, and CEO of the Information and Electronic Government Authority.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Ministerial Committee expressed his full pride in the royal royal directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, by supporting the process of comprehensive digital transformation in the Kingdom in a way that guarantees digital sustainability and achieving strategic aspirations in this field, praising the follow -up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him, for constructive initiatives in promoting government services enhancing And modernization paths in all areas of government work, which strengthened Bahrain’s position, within the global leadership countries in the United Nations E -Government Index.
After ratifying the minutes of the previous meeting and following up the issued decisions, the ministerial committee began discussing the topics on the agenda, as the latest developments related to the development of government services and emphasizing the sustainability of the development of these services were discussed. In this context, the Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Ministerial Committee, stressed the development of an executive plan for the comprehensive electronic transformation of all government services that can be 100%electronic transformation.
During the meeting, the national strategy for the digital economy was adopted and harmonious between it and the National Digital Trade Strategy, after the brevity provided by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
The Ministerial Committee also reviewed a number of issues presented by the Information Authority and the electronic government, including policies related to the United Nations indicators and the guidelines for the ethics of the use of artificial intelligence, as it was decided to subject these topics to more study.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information Technology and Communications, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the people of happiness, and their keenness to communicate and coordinate on everything that would develop government services provided to all citizens and residents.
