“The Minister of Justice” meets a number of French officials and discusses with them the enhancement of cooperation in the areas of personal data protection, commercial courts and judicial training

A delegation from the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, headed by Nawwaf bin Muhammad Al -Ma’wada, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, visited the friendly French Republic to discuss aspects of cooperation and see experiences in the judicial, judicial and legal fields and exchange experiences between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of France.

During the visit, the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs, Endowments and the accompanying delegation met Elizabeth Parsak, Head of European and International Affairs of the National Information and Freedoms Committee (CNIL), and during the meeting the legislative frameworks and best practices in the field of protecting personal data and ensuring individual rights, and relevant international cooperation mechanisms were discussed. Cooperation and exchange of experiences in building effective policies to protect privacy.

The two sides praised the level of distinguished close relations that bring together the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly Republic of the French, and the growth and progress it always witnesses in all fields.

Minister Valerie Delmeno, head of the Civil Courts and Seals at the French Ministry of Justice, met, and the two sides discussed the civil rulings law in France and the stages of its development. During the meeting, the path of civil legislation developments and the mechanisms for implementing judgments was reviewed.

The delegation also visited the Commercial Court in Paris, where a meeting was held with Mr. Patrick Saier, President of the Court, and Mr. Bertran Kleinm, Vice President, to see the mechanisms of the work of the French commercial courts and its specialized judicial system, and the court’s characteristics and administrative structure were reviewed, discussing the commercial judiciary role in supporting the economy, as well as seeing alternative settlement mechanisms and the course of consideration of complex commercial cases, discussing the role of the International Chamber of the Commercial Court And its specialty.

The visit included the French National Judicial School (ENM), where a meeting was held with Mr. Hafez Bouakraras, head of the French National School of Judiciary in Paris, to learn about France’s experience in training judges, and the systems approved for continuous education and training, and during the meeting the topic of theoretical and practical training mechanisms were discussed, and to discuss ways to exchange visits and training programs between judicial institutes in both countries.
