Dr. Hani Swailem, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, visited today, Tuesday, to the Dakahlia Governorate to inspect the state of irrigation, water installations, and the work of cleansing in the governorate, to check on the state of the water system during the maximum water needs, and was received by Major General Tariq Marzouq, the governor of Dakahlia, who expressed his welcome to the Minister’s visit.
Dr. Swailem, accompanied by Major General Marzouq, inspected the state of levels and disinfection work in the Mansourieh Canal in the Mitt Ghamr Center in Dakahlia Governorate, where Dr. Swailem Benhou directed the ongoing cleansing on the canal according to the timetable program scheduled for the purification plan set to ensure the fulfillment of the prescribed water needs.
The minister and the governor inspected the disinfection work on the Al -Bazari canal, and the case of a bridge of a kilo of 2.600 on the Al -Bazari canal in the Aga Center in Dakahlia Governorate, where Dr. Swailem directed to raise the products of purification accumulated on the bridges of the canal in coordination with the governorate’s agencies within a week of its date, and to take the necessary to restore the reservation And agriculture and the governorate to follow up on the purification of the privacy pisses with the reins of the canal with the knowledge of the beneficiaries.

Dr. Swailem stressed the irrigation devices in Dakahlia Governorate, accurate follow -up and full commitment to the canal disinfection and drains program, gates maintenance work and lifting stations in accordance with the prescribed time programs, while increasing the implementation rates and taking the necessary measures with the troubled contractors, and continuing to coordinate with the Ministry of Agriculture and water users ’bonds to follow up the beneficiaries of disinfecting the privacy course, With permanent coordination with the security services and localities in removing any encroachments on the water streams, and permanent coordination with the provincial bodies to preserve the waterways from pollution, and the provincial bodies lift garbage and waste from bridges with the provision of assistance from the competent Ministry of Irrigation agencies if needed.
