Amna bint Ahmed Al -Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is keen to enhance joint cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in a way that contributes to unifying visions, aspirations and goals, which would provide modern and innovative housing services to citizens in line with the sustainable development goals.
Minister Amna Al -Rumaihi explained that the social housing sector is receiving the care and attention of His Majesty and His Highness the leaders of the Cooperation Council states, may God protect and preserve them, stressing the importance of highlighting the Gulf housing work in regional and international forums.
This came when the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain participating in the twenty -third meeting of Excellencies and Excellencies concerned with housing affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council states held today in the capital, Kuwait, during which the joint Gulf housing plan of work that extends from 2024 to 2030 was discussed and reviewed the developments of the unified rules project for real estate owners in the countries of the Cooperation Council, and the rules of housing information.
Minister Al -Rumaihi pointed out the importance of exchanging experiences between the countries of the Cooperation Council in a way that contributes to the development of housing services and projects, and to benefit from the successful experiences that drive the pace of housing services to citizens in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, through the activities of the fourth Gulf housing week.
Minister Al -Rumaihi noted the joint Gulf consensus in the field of innovative housing solutions and highlighting the Gulf housing work in international forums, based on the results of a conference and exhibition of innovation in social housing, which was held last April in the Kingdom of Bahrain with a prominent Gulf and international participation, where joint compatibility was the importance of adopting innovative and new visions in designing sustainable social housing projects, and developing legislation and systems to provide the necessary flexibility to keep pace with Variables, achieving a balance between economic growth and the growth of the social housing sector, and the exchange of experiences, experiences and information.
The Minister pointed out that the common aspect of the meetings of the Cooperation Council states is to review policies and housing plans in providing housing services to citizens, noting the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in seeking to sustain the provision of housing services to citizens in the long run, and to reduce time periods to benefit from the housing service in cooperation with the private sector.
During the meeting, a number of decisions were discussed and approved on the subjects listed on the agenda, which included the joint Gulf housing plan during the stage from 2024 to 2030, and the adoption of housing information rules, so that the member states continue to provide the General Secretariat with updated statistical data.
During the meeting, the final version was approved to the “Unified Rules of Joint Real Estate Angels in the Cooperation Council countries for the Arab States of the Gulf”.
It was decided during the meeting to hold the second Gulf housing conference in the State of Kuwait next September, to determine the host country the title and themes of the conference, in addition to the approval of the fourth Gulf housing week for the year 2026 in the United Arab Emirates.
In a related context, His Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al -Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning with Excellencies and His Excellency the Ministers of the Cooperation Council states, made an inspection tour of the Gulf Housing Exhibition, which is held within the activities of the Gulf housing week, where she was briefed on the programs and projects presented in the wings of the GCC countries.
She also visited the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pavilion in the exhibition, which reviews the most prominent projects included in the government land development rights program in partnership with the private sector and the projects that have been implemented and are currently being implemented within this program, in addition to the options provided by housing financing programs, and the pavilion also includes the “Betty” real estate platform experience that provides various options for available real estate at prices that suit the value of housing funds, which also provide a number of services It is classified according to real estate, regions, governorates and budgets in a manner consistent with government financing or through commercial banks.
The pavilion includes a special space for the project of developing the city of Muharraq, which aims to preserve the historical and cultural identity of Bahrain buildings and cities.
