In the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him, and within the framework of the official visit by His Highness to Malaysia, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Malaysia government regarding cooperation in the field of planning, developing and strengthening industrial areas, where it was signed by the Bahraini side by His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, while it was signed by the Malaysian side, His Excellency Mr. Tenko Datok Siri. Tanko Abdel Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry in Malaysia.
On this occasion, His Excellency the Minister of Finance and National Economy emphasized the depth of the close historical relations that link the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly Malaysia, and the continuous growth of its paths in various fields, especially in the financial and economic fields, in a way that supports the paths of sustainable economic growth, and returns with goodness and growth on the two countries and two brotherly peoples.
His Excellency the Minister of Finance and National Economy pointed to the mutual keenness of Bahraini -Bahraini relations to continue their development and take them towards broader horizons by creating more opportunities for joint cooperation in various fields, especially in the field of industrial development, in order to achieve common goals and interests.
The Memorandum of Understanding aims to enhance the frameworks of joint cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Malaysia in the areas of planning and developing industrial areas, exchange of experiences and technical expertise and best practices and ensuring sustainability and innovation, and supporting initiatives to promote to attract joint quality investments, in a way that contributes to the development of promising sectors, and supports development visions of the two brotherly countries.
