Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak Jumaa, Minister of Education, honored 27 public and private schools in (TIMSS) in its last session of 2023, which amounted to the advanced and higher levels in evaluating its performance, with more than 550 points in the two articles.
The ceremony, which was held by the ministry, also witnessed the honor of 86 male and female teachers who contributed to the obtaining of their male and female students in the ranks of the fourth primary and the eighth (second preparatory) concerned with this international study, at high degrees, as well as celebrating the distinguished coordinators in schools, and the ministry’s cadres that contributed to the implementation of the study as required.
In his speech on this occasion, the Minister of Education expressed his thanks and appreciation to government and private schools, for its educational and administrative cadres, students and their parents, and the sectors of the competent ministry, for the effective contribution to the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in this important study at the international level, congratulating the honored schools for the honorable results in two basic subjects in which the level of performance represents an important measure of the development of educational institutions, indicating Until international studies are an opportunity to evaluate performance, analyze results, identify strengths and challenges, in order to develop educational policies based on accurate and reliable data, which contribute to improving the quality of educational service and ensuring the sustainability of its development.
In turn, Dr. Samah Muhammad Al -Ajawi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Development of Teaching and Learning Policies and the National Coordinator for the Study of (TIMSS) delivered a speech in which she confirmed that the Ministry is in the process of implementing development plans in these two articles, aimed at achieving development in their teaching, especially by benefiting from the mechanisms of artificial intelligence, noting the role of this international study in understanding the impact of the curriculum and educational practices on learning students, and that the results are The indicators obtained are an important reference for decision makers, to develop effective development plans, to raise the level of mathematics and science outputs, which have to build scientifically advanced and technological societies.
