Dr. Ibrahim Ali Al-Nakhdhah, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Health, chaired the meeting on preparing the Arab strategy on digital health, which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States during the period from 12-13 May 2025, within the framework of following up the implementation of the decision of the Arab Health Ministers Council No. (13) issued by its regular session 61, regarding the digital transformation in the health services provided to citizens in the Arab countries.
In this regard, Dr. Al -Nakhudhah noted the efforts of the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Health Ministers at the League of Arab States, stressing that the topic of the conference (the digital transformation in health services provided to citizens in the Arab countries) represents one of the important foundations for developing health services and maintaining their sustainability.
In turn, the Social Affairs Sector at the Arab League stressed the importance of digital technology in the health sector, which is a necessity to enhance justice, health care, awareness and prevention, and to ensure the arrival of medical services in an integrated manner for all citizens, accelerate diagnostic and treatment processes and improve health resources management.
During the meeting, a number of relevant and listed issues were discussed on the agenda, as this meeting comes within the framework of the efforts made to achieve the third goal of the sustainable development goals 2030, which means ensuring that everyone has health patterns of all ages
