At the beginning of our speech, we are pleased to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to our brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the monarch of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the kind invitation and the generosity of hospitality and warm reception.
It is a good occasion to meet today, adhering to the spirit of close friendship, which is increasingly strength and growing over the years between the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the friendly United States of America. We are pleased to welcome President Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, as he confirms his participation in this summit the depth of the strategic partnership and its firm importance between the countries of the Cooperation Council and the United States.
We also renew his Excellency congratulating his historical victory in the elections, and the achievements he has achieved since he assumed the responsibility of the presidency. We commend his vision and diplomatic approach aimed at promoting peace and resolving conflicts, which is completely compatible with our common approach and goals, and the collective call for peace launched by the leaders of Arab countries at the Bahrain Summit, in May last year.
We cannot here, except to express our great appreciation of the active diplomatic endeavors of the president’s luxury in order to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East and the world, thanking his decision to lift economic sanctions on the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, and we look forward to more cooperation to reach a safe, stable and prosperous region that includes all its countries.
This wise policy represents a unique opportunity to move together towards a fair and permanent peace that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people through a two -state solution, preserves regional security and stability, and contributes to making the region free of weapons of mass destruction, which prevents the arms race.
There is no doubt that the success of the ongoing negotiations between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran will enhance stability and raise the levels of prosperity for the countries of the region, which are efforts that we appreciate. We also appreciate the honorable and humanitarian role of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in offering and supporting peaceful initiatives and deficiency of wars, and perhaps the most important of them recently related to stopping the Russian -Ukrainian war.
In support of international efforts to enhance regional and global security, the Kingdom of Bahrain is proud of its close partnership with the United States, based on mutual respect and common interests. Our historical cooperation with the Fifth Fleet of the American Navy is a living evidence of this partnership, and an affirmation of our fixed commitment to securing maritime navigation in the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea, and ensuring that its paths are free of piracy and terrorism.
Also, in the Kingdom of Bahrain, we believe that strategic integration between our countries to achieve security and development is an essential pillar to preserve our achievements, and to achieve the aspirations of our peoples for a more prosperous and prosperous future.
