His Excellency Lieutenant -General Tariq bin Hassan Al -Hassan, Head of Public Security, headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain participating in the World Police Summit 2025 under the slogan “Designing the future future from police work”, which was held in the United Arab Emirates, with the participation of more than 300 international speakers and experts and decision makers in the security sector

His Excellency the Head of Public Security participated in a dialogue session, entitled “Technological Transformations in the Organized Crime Environment”, where he pointed to the challenges imposed by modern crimes such as electronic fraud and illegal drug trafficking, explaining that criminals are using advanced technical tools such as encrypted currencies, encrypted messaging applications, and dark internet, to reduce the opportunities for their tracking and avoid control

He stressed that facing these challenges requires strengthening security cooperation across the border, by increasing communication and building confidence between law enforcement devices, and adopting legal frameworks that enhance this cooperation, stressing the importance of investing in training and qualifying law enforcement employees to be ready to deal with modern technologies and harnessing the capabilities of artificial intelligence in facing crime

The Head of Public Security pointed to the initiatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain in this field, which focuses on strengthening societal partnership and launching programs that aim to enhance these partnerships to fortify the youth category in particular and society in general against drug crimes, organized crimes, fraud and electronic harassment, including security awareness programs implemented by the Ministry of Interior in schools in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, in addition to partnerships with countries and international organizations, stressing the importance of the role of international security coordination In combating such transit crimes in addition to the Interpol and the Gulf Police in coordination, exchanging experiences, supporting the capabilities of police services, enhancing regional and international security cooperation

On the sidelines of the summit, His Excellency the Head of Public Security visited the International Security and Law enforcement exhibition, in which more than 170 exhibitors from companies and institutions specialized in security solutions and modern police technologies that support the development of security work systems in various fields participate

The accompanying delegation of His Excellency the Head of Public Security included Major General Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Wahab Al Khalifa, Director General of the General Traffic Department, Colonel Ahmed Saad Al -Rumaihi, Director General of the General Administration for Combating Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security and a number of officers of the Ministry of Interior.
