Major General Mohamed Suleiman Al -Zamalout took over the New Valley Governorate in 2017, succeeding Major General Mahmoud Ashmawi, the former governor, who is the descendant of the Quartet family from the Bayadiyah tribe, the son of North Sinai Governorate, and graduated from the Military College with the rank of lieutenant and included in the military ranks until the rank of general, then he obtained a Master of Military Sciences from the College of Leaders and Staff, which is the highest grades in the armed forces and only granted to the distinguished and competent officers.
