Bapco Refining Company announced the formation of an investigation committee to determine the circumstances of the leakage incident that occurred this Friday, May 2, 2025, in one of the company’s refining units, and led to the death of two employees of the company.
The CEO of Bapco Refining Company, Dr. Abdel Rahman Jawahery, confirmed in a statement to Bahrain TV, that the teams concerned started immediately after the accident to evacuate and surround the site, and contacted the Ministry of Interior and Civil Defense, along with the competent authorities, to provide the necessary support and contain the situation.
Jawahiri said: “With hearts filled with sadness and sorrow, we announce the death of two of our best employees whom we consider working martyrs. They are qualified and trained youth, and they have presented a model in commitment and sincerity.”
He added that the refinery operations are continuing as usual, and no material damage was recorded, noting that the company puts the human side at the top of its priorities, and works to provide full support to the families of the deceased.
Jawahiri concluded his statement by saying: “We have formed an investigation committee to find out the details of what happened, and we will remain in constant contact with the families of the deceased to support them in this painful injured. We ask God to shroud them with the mercy of his mercy and inspire their families with patience and solace.”
