Dr. Bader Abdel -Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, on Sunday to Madrid to participate in the expanded ministerial meeting of the Madrid Group on the Palestinian issue.
The meeting is expected to discuss international efforts aimed at ending the war on the Gaza Strip, the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Strip and ways to enforce humanitarian aid, mobilize international support for recognition of the Palestinian state, and the application of the two -state solution as the only way to bring peace and stability in the Middle East.
The situation in the Gaza Strip
Today, the meetings of external ministers of some European and Islamic countries will start in the “Madrid Group” that was established to support Palestine, due to the situation in the Gaza Strip, which Spain announced its hosting earlier.
Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albaris said in a press statement that the “Madrid Group”, which will meet “to prevent Gaza from turning into a mass grave”, includes some European, Arab and Islamic countries.
