At the beginning of the session, the Foreign Minister gave a speech in which he expressed sincere thanks and gratitude for the warm reception, hospitality and good preparation, and the distinguished arrangements prepared to host the Baghdad Summit, expressing thanks to Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, and his team in the General Secretariat, for the positive cooperation and support provided by the General Secretariat of the Kingdom of Bahrain during its presidency of the thirty -third session of the Arab Summit, and their good efforts to prepare for this. The course. He said that the Kingdom of Bahrain was honored to host the thirty -third Arab summit, headed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect and preserve him, as it was held in light of difficult challenges and accurate political and security conditions, which required a unified Arab position and a clear vision to protect Arab national security and common interests.
He added that the Bahrain Summit carried a message of Arab peace and solidarity, calling for the end of the war on the Gaza Strip, the release of hostages and detainees, ending humanitarian suffering, and bringing a fair and permanent peace in the Middle East. She also stressed the centrality of the Palestinian issue, and refused to displace the Palestinians from their land, and stressed the need to protect their legitimate rights guaranteed by international law and relevant decisions.
The Foreign Minister pointed out that the Bahrain Summit adopted major decisions aimed at enhancing Arab cooperation, integration and solidarity, including initiatives to hold an international conference for the permissibility of the Palestinian issue, support recognition of the independent Palestinian state, accept its membership in the United Nations, and to preserve the human rights of those affected by conflicts in the region, including their right to life, health, education and knowledge.
He stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain was keen to follow up on coordination and implementation of these decisions, in an effort to enhance Arab cooperation at all levels, to enhance joint coordination efforts to confront regional and international challenges, and to establish sustainable peace, development and prosperity for the benefit of all the peoples of the region.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs added that the Kingdom of Bahrain has contacted the global influential countries to explain the Arab position and mobilize international support and support, and she chaired the work of the Arab Ministerial Committee to support the State of Palestine, and participated in the efforts of the joint Arab Islamic Arab Ministerial Committee, and announced its accession to the international coalition for the two -state solution headed by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and participated in the presidency of the Palestine Summit hosted by the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, during which the Egyptian plan was adopted for the early recovery.
He stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is committed to following up the implementation of the initiatives submitted to the summit, where the high directives were issued to form a specialized national committee, to work on following up the implementation of these initiatives in cooperation and coordination with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States and specialized international organizations, noting that a comprehensive report was prepared for the Kingdom’s efforts to follow up the implementation of the initiatives, and it is presented to the meeting of the esteemed cabinet for approval and submitted to its people And luxury and high leaders.
After that, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani handed over the presidency of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level to His Excellency Dr. Fouad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in the sisterly Republic of Iraq, wishing him success in managing the work of the preparatory meeting of the Arab summit in its thirty -fourth session, and that the summit comes out with constructive decisions to enhance the march of joint Arab action and achieve the aspirations and common goals for the good and good of the Arab nation.
