The Faculty of Engineering at the Gulf University organizes an exhibition for graduation projects for its students and students of the first regiment for the Northhampton University programs

The Faculty of Engineering at the Gulf University organized an annual graduation projects exhibition for engineering programs, on Sunday, May 25, 2025, in the Great Hall on the campus located in the Sanad region, in the presence of a group of academics and professionals, representatives of universities and specialized institutions, faculty, academic, students and parents.

The exhibition witnessed the presentation of 29 graduation projects, including 21 projects for interior design engineering students, 4 projects for mechanical engineering students and 4 others for electrical and electronic engineering. Projects presented showed an advanced level of creative thinking and the ability to provide innovative realistic solutions, where they dealt with topics related to industry, sustainable agriculture and modern technologies, with a focus on sustainable development goals, artificial intelligence and design Smart career.

It is noteworthy that this exhibition also witnessed the participation of the first regiment of students of the British University of Northhampton hosted at the Gulf University, where a number of them presented distinguished graduation projects that reflect the local practical application, which enhances the outcomes of education.

In this context, Professor Muhannad Al -Farras, President of the Gulf University, stressed that these projects represent a supervising model of the high -quality application education, saying:

“We believe that real education is embodied in the ability to transform ideas into realistic projects that serve man and society. What we have witnessed today is the fruit of a common effort between students and faculty members, reflects the university’s commitment to graduating engineering cadres that keep pace with the requirements of the times and look forward to the future.”

For her part, Dr. Aseel Al -Ayyash, Dean of the College of Engineering, praised the high level presented by the students, stressing that the exhibition embodies the college’s vision in linking education to practical reality and providing an incubator environment for creativity and innovation, saying:

“This exhibition reflects our commitment to preparing students who are able to develop technical and design solutions that keep pace with global changes and serve sustainable development.”

The heads of departments at the College of Engineering have confirmed that this year’s projects showed a remarkable diversity and a clear development in student skills and their applied capabilities. In this context, Dr. Omar Blebach, Head of the Interior Design Department, explained that the projects were distinguished by uniqueness and innovation, as students presented design solutions that take into account job beauty and enhance the concepts of sustainability. While Dr. Walid Al -Fezani, Head of the Department of Electronic Engineering, pointed to the department’s keenness to direct students towards creating projects that serve society by employing artificial intelligence techniques, the Internet of things, and smart energy. For her part, Dr. Ola Fattala, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, indicated that the projects reflected a complementarity between theoretical knowledge and practical application, especially in the areas of smart agriculture, renewable energy and industrial design.

Dr. Sharif Al -Wajih, Head of the Interior Design Department at the Kingdom of the Kingdom and a member of the jury, praised the high academic level of the projects presented, saying:

“The ideas varied between what is related to sustainability, smart agriculture and modern technologies, which confirms that students have a real ability to understand the needs of the times and turn them into implemented projects.”

The student Badour Al -Hammadi from the Electronic Engineering Department presented a project entitled “A robotic arm with a wireless communication technology for precise control”, aimed at developing a smart mechanical system capable of carrying out accurate tasks remotely using wireless communication technologies. The project focuses on enhancing the efficiency of industrial automation systems, providing flexible and safe technical solutions in sensitive environments that require high accuracy and reduce human intervention. The project reflects the familiarity of the student with modern robot techniques and her keenness to provide an applicable practical innovation in multiple fields such as manufacturing, health care and logistical services.

The student, Nagham Khaled, from the specialty of interior design engineering, expressed her experience at the exhibition, saying:

“The Global Culinary Hub project expresses my vision in mixing interior design and environmental sustainability, as I designed a cultural center of nine different types of international restaurants, taking into account the elements of cultural diversity and the preservation of the environment. As a member of the university sustainability club, I was greatly affected by the values ​​of sustainability, which prompted me to integrate three sources of renewable energy into the project, namely: energy Solar, wind energy, and surfing energy, to provide a sustainable and environmentally friendly operational environment. This experience was a real opportunity to translate my convictions into a realistic project that serves society and enhances environmental awareness through design.

Among the striking projects also, the Taliban Abu Al -Ghaffar and Salah Al -Ani from the Department of Mechanical Engineering submitted a project entitled “The Educational Snow Machine”, which aims to simplify the concepts of cooling and heat for students through an interactive and safe tool used in educational environments. The machine is designed to be compact and easy to use, and engineering theories are translated into a tangible practical experience, which enhances understanding and stimulates creativity. The Taliban emphasized that this experience contributed to developing their skills in design, innovation and teamwork, and through which they presented an educational model that serves the educational process in a new and innovative style.

It is worth noting that the Gulf University is preparing during the coming period to celebrate the graduation of the twenty -first regiment of its students, in addition to graduating the first batch of students of the British Northhampton University programs hosted at the university, in a step that embodies the university’s vision in preparing a creative generation with high skills and professional implementation quality, able to actively competition in the labor market and keep pace with its renewed challenges locally and regional.
