The Ministry of Environment announced that a committee formed by the representatives of the waste management organization, the regional branch of the Environmental Affairs Agency in Greater Cairo, the New Urban Communities Authority, the New Cairo City Authority, the Environment Police and Water Burns, was made by inspection of a site where it was found that one of the residential projects in New Cairo disposed of the waste located in the location in the area between the Wadi Degla Reserve and the Sukhna -Hurghada Road.
The environment examines the complaints of Zahraa Al -Maadi residents of repeated fires and determines the source of pollution
This comes in implementation of the directives of Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, to the waste management organization, to examine the complaint that the Ministry of Environment monitored on social media, regarding the damage of the residents of Zahraa Maadi, from daily fires, and to determine the source of pollution.
Immediately, Dr. Yasmine Fouad directed the need to emphasize the company operating in New Cairo to cover the waste in order to prevent the health and environmental effects on the lives of citizens.
It also directed the waste management organization, in coordination with the Deputy Governor of Cairo for the southern region, and the Major General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Cleaning and Beautification of Cairo, the need to provide equipment to intervene immediately.
According to the directives of the Governor of Cairo, the Authority’s equipment was directed to control fires, and the Ministry of Environment on the other hand, in coordination with the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities to take measures against the company that causes these damages.
