The Vatican – Wam participated in the Muslim Wise Council delegation, in the inauguration ceremony of Pope Liu, the fourteenth president of the Catholic Church, which took place on Sunday in the Saint Peter’s Cathedral Square in the Vatican Republic. The council conveyed the congratulations of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, Sheikh of Al -Azhar, Chairman of the Council and members of the Council of Pope Liu XIV, on the occasion of its official inauguration as President of the Catholic Church. He pointed out that the messages of Pope Liu XIV since his election last May confirms his interest in enhancing the dialogue between religions, and continuing the march of brotherhood and coexistence, which appeared during the Pope’s reception of the Secretary -General of the Council last Monday as the first Islamic body to receive the Pope after his election, as well as during
